Valley View Puppies

We get many inquiries about shipping, we hope that this page will answer most of your questions.

Shipping is done via major airlines such as Continental, Delta, American, United, and Frontier. Each airline has a Cargo Facility, which is usually separate from the hustle and bustle of the main airport.

We contact our airlines and make reservations for the shortest flight possible. At that time we try to find out the address and phone numbers of the cargo facility.  We then email our customers and tell them the flight number, time of arrival, and confirmation number.

We have a veterinarian exam the puppy only a few days prior to shipping and then the puppy receives a Nebraska State Health Certificate and an acclamation statement stating at what temperature the puppy can safely fly.

The airlines have specific regulations that have to be followed before they can allow a pet to fly and these include but are not limited to:
Veterinary Health Certificate
Certificate of Acclamation (above 20 degrees and under 85 degrees)
Proper immunizations for age
Airline approved/animal safe pet taxi.

We keep an eye on the weather to find the best day for shipping your puppy. The temperatures will sometimes delay a flight a few days, but we usually get your puppy on a flight within a couple of days.  Sometimes it is possible to put a puppy on a very early flight or a very late flight. We not only have to watch the temperatures here at home and the puppy’s new home, but also any stops along the way.

Shipping costs can vary because of location and airlines.  Shipping usually costs $300.00  for 8-week-old puppies. As the puppy grows so may the price of shipping.  The rates depend on kennel size and which airline is used. Sometimes it is necessary to take our puppies to a larger airport in Omaha or Lincoln, in which case the price would be higher since we are quite a distance from there.
Included in shipping:
Pet taxi (yours to keep or sell)
Veterinary Health Certificate
Certificate of Acclamation
Small bag of puppy food
Puppy vaccination record
Travel cost to get pup to airport.

About a week before shipping we start crate training (pet taxi) your puppy. We want to make sure that your puppy is comfortable in the crate. We put the puppy in the crate a few hours at a time. Sometimes much less if the puppy is very unhappy. Slowly we work up the amount of time until we feel the puppy is fine with being in the crate. This makes for a better flight because the puppy is already used to being in his/her pet taxi.

We also try to wear out the puppies before shipping so that they will have a nice nap on the trip.  A bath a few hours before is a great way to do this or running around playing works too.

We write out the feeding and watering instructions for the airlines. They are required to follow the instructions.

If possible we will deliver your puppy if you are within 4 hours of our home for a $150.00 fee. We can also meet at a predetermined location if you are willing to travel some too. We love to meet the puppy’s new owners.

Please be aware that the buyer is responsible for all associated costs in shipping their new puppy. We do not ship C.O.D. All costs are paid in advance
